Chapel IV - St. Francis attends the Holy Mass

The chapel, built and set up around the year 1618, houses the scene of Francis attending Mass at Porziuncola, while the Gospel passage concerning the mandate of the apostles, that reveals to him his apostolic vocation, is read.  The statues are the work of Cristoforo Prestinari and his apprentices, the frescoes are attributed to the local artist Giacomo Filippo Monti.
