Chapel 28 - Jesus before the Court of Herod
It was built with the donations by the people of Valsesia between 1619 and 1627. The two brothers Giovanni and Antonio d'Enrico made the statues and paintings. The frescoes, originally perhaps had much lighter and brighter colors, including predominantly white, gray and blue, and represent the later work made by Tanzio for the Sacred Mount (1628-1629), probably completed immediately after the decoration of the chapel of the Guardian Angel in the basilica of San Gaudenzio in Novara.
