Chapel 4 - St. Joseph's first dream
The chapel depicts the first dream of Joseph, when the archangel appeared to reassure him about the conception, asking to take care of his wife and son. The scene is vivid and lifelike and it was created in the early seventeenth century by Giovanni d’Enrico and placed inside the chapel after 1613. The walls, decorated with fictive tapestries, recreate the interior of a house. They were repainted in 1927.
