Chapel XII - The Ascension

From the arcade a surprising view of the lake can be enjoyed. The coat of arms on the facade and a medallion with portrait confirm that Andrea Cetti ordered the construction of the chapel. The documents found in the archives of the sanctuary indicate Giovanni Paolo Recchi as the artist of the brightly colored wall decorations, completed in 1664, and Agostino Silva as the modeler of the twenty-nine characters in different postures, full of "pathos".
