Built starting from 1589 around the Marian sanctuary that stands on the top of the hill, the Sacro Monte develops along a path that crosses the Riserva Naturale Speciale di Crea (Special Nature Reserve of Crea). The chapels, set among clearings and patches of woods, narrates the mysteries of the Rosary through groups of terracotta statues and frescoes that emerge as miraculous apparitions among the trunks and the profile of the hills.
