Jesus before Pilate

It was the first chapel built in 1712 by Father Michelangelo, with the support of several Canavese nobles and the community of Pertusio.  The chapel was decorated in the late 18th century by the painter Grosso of Ivrea. On the vault, in a gallery, six spectators are witnessing the judgment of Christ, while on the right,you can see some wall fragments of a decoration depicting Pilate's Court.
In the first decade of the 20th century, the sculptor, Giuseppe Erbetta of Fossano, was commissioned to create five plaster statues, including Jesus, the Priest and Pilate, and to restore the other ones.
