The chapel was built by Father Michelangelo in 1714, thanks to the donations of the Ghiglieni family of Locana. At the beginning of the 20th century, the sculptor Barengo added six new plaster statues, and restored the ancient terracotta statue of the Roman slave. The backdrop is a Palestinian landscape painted by the painter Aluffo.
