According to the records, the construction of the chapel, financed by the parishes of Mongrando, dates back to the mid-17th century and the beginning of the 18th century. In 1702, the statues were commissioned to the Auregio brothers.Pietro Giuseppe collaborated on this project with his brother Carlo Francesco. In the foreground, below, St. Joachim, St. Anne and the Virgin Mary are climbing the steps of the temple. The High Priest, surrounded by other figures, can be seen behind the balustrade, inside the temple.
