The Visitation
This chapel was financed by the sanctuary and completed thanks to the donations of the community of Occhieppo Superiore. Pietro Giuseppe Auregio created the group of statues, which represent the encounter between the Virgin Mary and her cousin Elizabeth, at the presence of Saint Zechariah and Saint Joseph. The scene is embellished by a series of small angels. The frescoes are the work of Giovanni Antonio Saà and depict the courtyard of a house in an oriental style. Next to Saint Zacharias, on a scroll ornament, there are the words that Elizabeth spoke at the sight of Mary.
