The Purification of Mary
The construction of this chapel started in 1659 and ended approximately in 1664. It was financed by the communities of Vigliano and Valdengo. The original statues byBartolomeo Termine (1664-1666) were renovated in the 1720s by the sculptor Auregio, who replaced the High Priest, the Virgin Mary and the Child. In fact, these are similar to the figures created by the sculptor for the chapels of the Presentation and the Nativity. The painted decoration of the chapel, by Giuliano Genta Vimercato, was completed in 1664.
