The group of sculptures are by Dionigi Bussola and his workshop. They depict a dying Saint Francis, lying naked on the ground, surrounded by friars. On the right, at his side, is the Roman noblewoman, Giacoma de Settesoli, warned by an angel of the saint's imminent death. The frescoes are by the Nuvolone brothers, who created the figures, while the painted architectural elements are by Giovani Battista Grandi from Varese.
