The Visitation
According to some sources, the chapel was financed by the Sanctuary, between the early 20s and 30s of the seventeenth century. The sculptures depict the meeting between Mary and Elizabeth, both with their husbands, Joseph and Zechariah. The group was depicted following the model of the same episode at the Sacro Monte of Varese by Francesco Silva. It is likely that even these statues were created by an artist of the Silva's workshop. On the background, there is a fresco representing a perspective of columns.
