According to some scholars, the statues should be attributed to the Prestinari's workshop, because of their stylistic similarities with works made in the corresponding chapel at the Sacro Monte of Varese. The wall decoration, rather simple and that integrates the wooden structure of the hut, was the work of an unknown artist. A metal plaque refers to the restorations carried out by Silvestro Marmori in 1935.
