Presentation of Jesus at the Temple

The two young clergymen, wearing contemporary clothes, may have commissioned the construction of the chapel. The statues depict Jesus, the Virgin Mary, Simeon, Saint Joseph and two female figures, one with a child and the other holding two doves, to be sacrificed in accordance with Jewish teachings.  The figures seem to be stylistically similar to those of the Chapel of the Assumption, but on a slightly smaller scale and more rigid than the statues of the first three chapels. The painted decorations on the walls depict the interior of the Temple and it is difficult to date them as the artist is unknown.
