The chapel was commissioned by Andrea Cetti, whose coat of arms stands on the facade. It has a refined architectural structure, and is populated by forty-five statues by Agostino Silva, located at the foot of the three monumental crosses. The work was probably completed in 1669. The frescoes, with figures dressed in oriental style, groups of armed characters and, on the vault, angels in the clouds, were created by Carlo Gaffuri from Como, and Giovanni Paolo Recchi, Morazzone's pupil, who had already worked at the Sacro Monte of Varese.
