Jesus is Condemend to Death

Located on the first floor of the Palace of Pilate, the scene shows the final judgment of Jesus before the Roman governor, who reads the death sentence.

The walls of the chapel depict Pilate's court.  At the top there is a balcony and on the dome, the Ascension of Jesus dominates the scene.

The chapel was decorated by Pier Francesco Mazzuchelli, known as Il Morazzone, and completed in 1616, as well as the statues by Giovanni d'Enrico. The stained-glass windows of the chapel were added by Geronimo Rocca in 1621.
