This simple, small and pre-existing chapel was renovated at the end of the 19th century by will of Canon Bussi. He commissioned the statues to Antonio and Stefano Brilla. They represent Jesus ascending to Heaven while the Virgin Mary and the eleven Apostles are watching him with mixed reactions ranging from awe, shock and faith. The frescoes were created by Paolo Maggi.
