The Resurrection or Chapel of Heaven
The chapel was built from 1690 to 1708 and designed by Antonio and Domenico Perini. The group of sculptures are by Giuseppe Rusnati (1704). They include Christ resurrected in a cloud, surrounded by sun rays, and a multitude of angels and soldiers, in a variety of poses. Two of the statues, located on the right of the scene, were previously created by Dionigi and Cesare Bussola, in 1680. They are the "Wise Man Caspar" and the dark page, who is following him with the armor. The frescoes are by Giovanni Sampietro (1706). On the vault is a multitude of angels and, on the walls, are painted the Supper at Emmaus and the encounter of Jesus with Thomas, framed by classic architectural decorations,
